For isolated island communities on Kenya's northern coast, access to health care is far from adequate. The "Safari Doctors" have taken matters into their own hands. This report accompanies a group of doctors to the Kenyan island Lamu. Their mission is to provide free medical care to some of the extremely marginalized communities. The project is the brainchild of Lamu resident, 34-year-old Umra Omar. Together with a nurse, she set the ball rolling in 2015.

Kenya Power, the state-owned electricity company, has announced plans to install electric vehicle charging points as it hopes to capture revenue from a growing global focus on electric vehicles. According to a report by Business Daily, Kenya Power new strategy is to build a nationwide network of public charging stations on highways, parking lots and malls, to help in removing one of the hurdles for use of electric cars in Kenya. This is the direction to help achieve Kenya’s government plans to have at least 5% electric car share by the year 2025.
