South Africa setting the pace in mechanizing agriculture

South Africa's agricultural sector is one of the pillars of its economy. It employs more unskilled labour than any other sector in the country. The industry accounts for 3% of GDP, worth about $10 billion, annually. Despite that relatively smaller footprint, it is still the most developed agricultural sector on the continent.
